Sinha (Anil Dhawan) is the owner of a five star hotel in Simla, named after his pretty daughter... Anmol. Pushpa (Sudha Chopra) is his second wife and Khanna (Gufi Paintal) is his brother-in-law. Anmol lives like a princess in a palatial home along with her father, her stepmother and two step-sisters... Champa (Jayaa Mathur) and Chameli (Rubeena Khan).

Khanna and Pushpa in a bid to control his property, knock off Sinha. Years pass and Anmol (Manisha Koirala) grows up to be a pretty girl. But while he step sisters Champa nad Chameli are pampered, Anmol is treated like a maid and made to slog like a slave.

But Anmol has something else stored in her fate. And comes Prem (Rishi Kapoor) to join Hotel Anmol as a singer. Saddened by Anmol's plight, Prem falls in love with her. Se reciprocates his love in full measure.

Khanna a smuggler and a gambler, carries out all his illegal activities from the hotel. He loses a lot of money to another gambler ... Zafar (Puneet Issar). Zafar threatens Khanna that if he is unable to return his money within a stipulated period of time, he'd face dire consequences. Since Khanna doesn't have the necessary money, he decides to sell Anmol to raise money. Prem offers 16 lakhs to save his ladylove.

Prem leaves Simla to arrange for the money. Meanwhile, Khanna slyly takes Anmol to a brothel in Delhi....

"ANMOL" builds to an exciting climax as Prem rushes back and that could be enjoyed only on the silver screen.
